Pre-covid, Lassens was my favorite place in Bakersfield. Even though the employees were mostly dismissive and ignored me (especialky those in the deli), the salads, soups, and entrees were always healthy and tasty. But since covid, the hot entrees have twice made me sick and now, the soups are watery. But the prices just keep going up. Also, there's never more than one or two customers in the store, when there used to be 6 or 7. So, I mainly just shop for a few groceries and stay out of the deli. I miss the old Lassens, very much.

I went there for one simple product in the deli. I was told they didn't have it by a young lady behind the deli counter. But because the website said it did, I decided to ask someone else who took me straight to it. They need to continue to educate the employees behind the deli counter. Please!

Terrible Cashier 'Customer Service' - Same Employee. 6' tall blond hair woman, late 20s/early 30a. This includes a visit roughly 4-5 weeks prior. 1st example was their observable display of impatience, reluctance to check my items out; 2nd was today : I place a few items for checkout (I cut a knuckle and needed minor 1st Aid), I asked them (blonde woman) if they were going to be there - their reply "I might be here, I might not". Unexpected injury & avoided to be late for a shift included Open Disregard for Courtesy and a non-chalant demeanor. I worked Grocery, as a Might Manager (2yr) and for 5 years overall. I know the 'Ins & Outs' from Backstock, to Item Rotation, DSD, Receiving Trailer Deliveries and Closing....including Cashier Experience during busy seasons. That includes being (always) short for overnight staff. I'm uncertain this person is suited for being what is essentially the Public Face for a Company. They were gone, after I said 'i'll be right back's - I walked for about 45sec total, they were gone. I still have am open-cut and will need to determine an alternate solution. I highly suggest reviewing this 'employee's demeanor' because if it's toward a Particul

I went to Lassens Natural Foods yesterday. Because of my weight I have changed my diet. I had went to Walmart, Albertsons and Vons and could not find what I was looking for. Looked up Vegan food stores on Yelp and found Lassens. First, the people there are very friendly. They also have a tiny Cafe like area that sells Vegan options. There is a whole area that has Vegan foods and they had what I was looking for. The atmosphere is relaxed in the store and it is very clean. Not only does Lassens sell Vegan, but they also have healthy foods for all tastes. Most of what I saw was Organic, Healthy and Holistic. I highly recommend Lassens if you are looking for better foods.

With great disappointment, my service animal—who is trained to detect the onset of hypoglycemia and alert me accordingly—was denied entry into your store. Leaving her in the vehicle causes her distress as she is unable to perform her designated task. Despite this inconvenience, I decided to proceed with my intention of purchasing a healthier mayonnaise option for my family. As I carried my service animal, enabling her to detect any potential changes in my breath, I managed to navigate through half of the store before being approached and asked to leave. Upon explaining the situation, I was informed that her presence was prohibited, even while being carried. Consequently, I complied, placed her in the vehicle, and returned to the store to make a purchase of a small and overpriced jar of mayonnaise. I will not be returning. 👎
